BlackBerry OS 6 review ( Video )

The new BlackBerry OS 6 video show details of touchscreen support and social media integration together with a redesigned home screen, context-sensitive pop-up menus and universal search options to help improve navigation.

BlackBerry OS 6 is expected to arrive on the BlackBerry 9800 and 9670 but not release date has been issued as yet. But should be available sometime during the summer of 2010.

Do you think the new OS 6 will help BlackBerry to attract a lot of new users to the BlackBerry platform as RIM think it will?

The Hideoto " Digitise Your Old Cassettes "

Looking like a Walkman from the 1980′s the Hideoto device allows you to recover the tunes from those old cassettes you might have in the attic and converts them into digital media.

Produced by Japanese TEC the Hideoto device comes with unique software that allows you to record the cassettes to your computer in MP3/WAV or WMA (32kbps〜320kbps bit rate).

Simply conect the Hideoto device via USB to your computer and press play.

The Hideoto will be available in Japan next month for around $58. No word as yet on international availability.

Nintendo 3DS To Feature Stronger Anti Piracy Protection

It looks like Nintendo will be increasing the piracy protection on their latest DS handheld gaming console, the Nintendo 3DS over the previous model of the Nintendo DS.

THQ VP Ian Current recently said that the DS market especially with the DS Lite had been affected by piracy, and they are hoping that the new secuirty that Nintendo have added to the 3DS will stop this.

Nintendo 3DS To Feature Stronger Anti Piracy Protection

This may be the case initially, although no doubt someone will manage to hack whatever security Nintendo install on the 3DS within a short while of it being released.

The Nintendo 3DS features dual screens, the top one is the 3D display and this one is a 3.5 inch display with a resolution of 800 x 240, according to Nintendo 400 pixels are allocated for each eye to enable 3D viewing, whilst the bottom screen is a 3 inch display is a touch screen display with a resolution of 320 x 240.
