Want a tablet that can take a beating? If you're one of those people who tends to be very hard on fancy gadgets, an iPad may not be right for you. Thankfully, there's the J3500 rugged tablet. This baby sports a 12.1" WXGA touchscreen and either a Core i5 or Core i7 processor. It meets milspec requirements for bumps, drops and dust.
The J3500 has either a 160 GB HDD or 128 GB SSD. Expect integrated Gobi 2000 WWAN and a 3 MP webcam. The display can be indoor or outdoor optimized with options for toughened GorillaGlass as well. All versions of the screen support active digitizer and capacitive multitouch.
The J3500 is a big girl, and she doesn't come cheap. You're looking at about $3k for a fully kitted out version of this tablet. It's heavy and not at all pretty, but it'll survive anything you can throw at it (except standing water and baseball bats).
