Super Talent has prepped their new solid state drive called the TeraDrive CT SSD, to be ready to ship to the US today. The TeraDrive CT SSD uses the rare SandForce 1222 SSD processor and supports the SATA II 3Gbps interface. And it boasts super high speeds of sequential read and write of 285 and 275 MB/sec respectively.

The new SSD has built-in Garbage Collection and TRIM support to ensure sustainable performance over the life of the drive. The drive is also equipped with a number of technologies including RAISE for enhanced reliability and DuraWrite increased endurance. And also some other improvements such as wear leveling, bad block management, and excellent ECC with up to 24 symbols correctable per 512 byte sector.
The new Super Talent SSD also uses MLC NAND Flash and a better firmware that allows more usable capacity than the earlier 1222-based SSDs. The TeraDrive CT SSD will be available in a number of capacities including 60GB, 120GB, 240GB and the 480GB. The first three capacities are priced at $199, $349 and $669 respectively but no price has been mentioned for the 480GB.
