Thermaltake has announced their latest BlacX 5G docking station for 2.5 and 3.5-inch HDDs. The BlacX 5G comes with the support of SuperSpeed USB 3.0, making it suitable to be used for transferring large files such as videos, pictures and large documents between your computer and the external hard drive.
The BlacX 5G also supports HDD up to capacity of 2TB. It’s useful for those who always need to transfer large files while they’re on the go. The BlacX 5G is also backward compatible with USB 1.1 and USB 2.0. It allows easy plug and play installation on Windows systems and Mac OS. It comes included with a premium shielded data cable that provides data safety as well as boosting the data transfer speeds up to 5.0Gbps with USB 3.0 devices.
The BlacX 5G (ST0019) comes in a compact form factor, measuring 73 (H) x 136 (W) x 88 (D) mm, which is suitable to be placed anywhere near or on your computer. It comes bundled with a USB 3.0 SuperSpeed data transfer cable and a power cord for immediate use and is priced around $50.
