This unique concept Nokia phone by Jeremy Innes-Hopkins Design uses an original method to notify you of an incoming call, by standing up.
The mechanism works using an electromagnet that shifts its weight in the curved base when an incoming call is received, making the phone lift vertically into the air.
If the call is rejected the phone gentle reclines back into a horizontal position. Its definitely a good idea and as I wear headphones during most of my office hours it would be a great feature for a desk phone. But I’m not sure I would want to carry the same phone in my pocket with that bulbous bottom end.
