NVidia have announced their new Fermi-architecture based graphics card, GeForce GTX 460, which is based on the Fermi-based GPU, GF10. This graphics card is capable of delivering at DirectX 11 gaming experience and it’ll be available in two models. The first model has 768MB onboard memory, a 192-bit memory interface and is priced $199. While the second model has a 1GB memory, a 256-bit memory interface and carries a higher price tag of $229.
The GeForce GTX 460 768MB model is available now from add-in card partners including ASL, ASUS, Colorful, EVGA, Gigabyte, Innovision 3D etc. For the 1GB model, you’ll have to wait till July 26, 2010. The GeForce GTX 460 graphics are built specially for DirectX 11 tessellation and the GPUs are claimed to deliver up to 4 times of tessellation performance over competing CPUs.
The new GeForce GTX 460 graphics cards are highly affordable, priced less than $300 but able to deliver the great details of gaming characters, terrain and game environment with fast performance and awesome visuals.
