Panasonic has started shipping its waterproof camera phone, P-06B, to NTT DoCoMo in Japan. The Panasonic P-06B mobile phone has a 13.2 megapixel camera, a touchscreen display and comes in a clamshell form factor.
The P-06B’s touchscreen allows the user to use a stylus or finger to operate. It even features handwriting recognition which has built-in handwriting diary and handwriting photo & memo functions, allowing the users to hand write their schedules or decorate pictures using tools such as marker pens and stamps.
The handset’s camera also features auto focus, quick start-up and various shooting functions such as intelligent auto mode that lets the camera automatically recognize the scenes and smile detection, which uses Egao shooter that instantly captures when a person smiles. There is also Omakase choice which is a function that automatically chooses the best picture out of those taken continuously. Unfortunately, there is no mention about whether this phone will be available for the rest of the world.
