I guess I was really naïve to think then 3D TVs first started to be talked about that some of them would use passive glasses and I could use all those I have collected from the theater over the last few months. Almost all of the sets so far have needed active glasses and they typically only work for the specific makers TVs.
We talked a while back about the Sony 3D glasses that were said at the time to sell for $133. Well those glasses are finally shipping on Amazon and the price is more than we though.
The Sony active-shutter glasses for its 3D TVs are selling for $149 each. That means that even if you bought a high-end Sony 3D set like the LX900, you will need to spend another $300 to get a family of four viewing 3D.
